oh my god.. i have to write this the moment i got back from the kira kira concert by oda kazamasu at the singapore indoor stadium.. it was just great!!! i wasn't expecting so much and boy... this was a wonderful concert.. i'm so glad i went...
i was pretty intimidated at first.. cuz i was like surrounded by so many japanese.. haha.. but then i soon got over it and immersed myself into the music entirely !!
oda-san's english was pretty good... but it was quite a pity that i could understand only like.. 5% of the japanese he spoke.. cuz it seemed like it was quite funny..with all the japanese around me laughing.. haha.. that didn't stop me from having fun anyway!!!
oda-san's voice is really solid.. disregarding the fact that he's already 56 years old!! he could still sing with so much strength and his voice was crisp and clear.. my god.. that's what i wanna be when i am 56! he can play the piano.... the guitar... and even the saxophone! man.. and his ballads are really cool..
once he sang the theme song to tokyo love story...my god.. i just went crazy.. i became soooo high!!! i clapped.. and sang along to it! brought back all the nice memories... cuz that was the first japanese drama i was crazy for! haha.. and all the japanese fans sitting in front just went crazy~ so did my teachers who appeared there... kawaii!
he started the concert with the theme song kira kira... and it brought up the whole mood and atmosphere! the concert ended with the same song too.. it gives the feeling of completeness~~~ there's also video of him touring singapore.. haha.. nice.. he may be old.. but he's still cutE! haha..
i may buy his compilation album.. since most of the really nice songs were from there.. haha.. worth the money man.. also.. he sang when you need a friend.. in perfect english~ haha.. there was this part of a song where he tried to do it in chinese.. but.. well.. let's just say i don't understand. zenzen wakarimasen ne!!
my first japanese concert ended with a nice touch. there were parts.. like when he sang my hometown and along with it.. was a video with pictures of his younger years.. and the lyrics.. which was about how his hometown has changed but not his love for it nearly brought me to tears.. ah.. and when he came out again and again when the applause never stopped.. nice~~~
