merry xmas

merry xmas to everybody! and soon it'll be 2007... time is flying at the speed of sound!

anyways.. i usually don't celebrate christmas.. i can't really recall what i've been doing during christmas.. let me see.. last year i was in hongkong.. the year before last.. nope, no memories of that at all.

but this year was different, yuenling and i didn't want to spend it at home so we met up, planning to go out and party. then came the problem.. GO WHERE?!

we were desperate, sms-ing different people, asking for suggestions. lol.. thanks to those who replied and no thanks to those who didn't! haha.. eventually we settled for zouk.. since it was sooo near my house yet i've never been there, what better time to visit? besides, it was yuenling's first club outing~ everybody starts from zouk right?

so she came over to my place earlier... and i'm telling all my friends here, do let me do makeup for you. i mean seriously, i think i have a flair for it. i love beautifying faces. lol~ i can't say mine can be beautified, but in any case, give me credit for making my eyes look slightly bigger than they usually are ^^ and besides, i use quality products from all over the world (heck, my latest collection is shipped in from taiwan direct!) so yeah.. who knows, i may become a freelance makeup artist! lol..

so we took a while before we decided to go in cuz there were more than one entrance (sorry, i have problems with multiple entrances. at least mos only had one!). we got in and i realized i hate zouk's music. so we ventured into phuture. GOOD THING we did, cuz phuture played better music anytime.

i think i look kinda different without glasses!

if only i got to hear some justin timberlake =(

zouk have the mildest bourbon coke so far. i like it ~ in any case, i would go back to phuture again.. because it would save me a fortune since i can walk home. that's right.. walk home.
i walk home from work, walk home from clubbing.

besides, phuture has cuter guys.. even the security peeps are cute!

haahha.. by the way, on a random note..

tcc's linguine with smoked salmon is love.
merry christmas once again ^^

is it like this?

aren't we all holding pieces of dying ember
i'm just trying to remember who I can call

aren't we all hiding pieces of broken anger
i'm just trying to remember who I can call

do you like this?
is it always the same?
will you come back again?

is it like this?
is it always the same?
when a heartache begins, is it like this?

if you like this
will you remember my name?

magic of love

i've never seen a magic show live before... i mean, if you exclude those poker card tricks demonstrated by friends during some outings~ even so, the chances are rare, i don't have such talented friends. haha~

so yesterday i went to expo and attended a magic show presented by my brother and sister-in-law's church.. hmm.. i was skeptical at first but i think it was really pretty good.

the two main presenters are father and daughter~ they incorporated magic tricks into a storyline, turning the whole thing into a magical extravaganza..

the story was about a magician and his daughter~ about how the daughter was almost led astray by her seek for fame. she didn't like how her father always restricted her in doing what she wanted (i.e. some dangerous magic stunt with nails and everything) but when she was duped into leaving for shanghai, she realized she was wrong and ta da! her father came to her rescue~! considering that it's christmas, it's talking about the magic of love, i think the ending is obvious. haha.

the magic stunts i saw were pretty much usual things. like.. the pigeons~ endless running scarves from the palm~ even levitation.. so david copperfield! but i thought the times when the guy was suddenly turned into someone else~ i thought these were good. i mean.. i doubt i would ever know the secret! hahaha..

i like magic shows.. i want to learn!

fun and laughter

met up with the jap babes from nus on saturday~ and it's pretty much a repeated routine like last saturday~ the day started with a ktv session (even at the same place!)~~~

^^tay, mingjie and yuenling~ we had so much fun together. mingjie went mad with her jolin impersonation while i started to do luo zhixiang's dance. haha

i seldom go ktv and leave, all covered in sweat! haha we were practically dancing and singing all the upbeat songs in the last hour.. from jolin to xiaozhu to energy to stef sun.. and it's all their fast songs! haha.. it was really really fun~!

btw.. see how mingjie danced to jolin. keke >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIzrbf0ZUeM

after that we went to cafe cartel over as plaza singapura for dinner~

tay didn't eat anything else~ she simply ordered a brownie stack~ i didn't eat it cuz it seemed too sweet for my liking.

i really love their homemade bread. it tastes soo good with butter. the other best bread i've ever tried was on cathay pacific's hongkong-seoul flight. yummy.

and i would~ for the sake of the bread~ in a bid to eat it again~ fly with cathay pacific again. haha.

midway through, nellie came to join us~ the night was still young but we didn't know where else to go. so she drove to orchard first before we decided that we would pack some drinks and snacks on her car while going on a spin~

taken during a jam on orchard road~ so many lights!

we stopped by at a kiosk~ we bought beer and some snacks while nel filled her tank.

drinking yuenling's asahi super dry draft

nel introduced me to hoegaarden beer but i personally think asahi super dry tastes better ^^

eventually we went up to mount faber and wow!!! jewel box looks beautiful~ i promised myself i will take myself there for dinner one day ~~~

^^ i thought such scenery is only possible to be seen from victoria peak in hongkong and namsam tower in seoul! way to go, singapore!

^^ so gorgeous...

and the more i marvel at the beautiful nightsky, the more i'm in love with my phone. the camera's nightmode works like mad~

we spent time sitting in nel's car.. talking about .. well.. romance! haha or rather, the lack of it in my case.~ we had such a fun time!

i am sooo looking forward to our next meeting already!!

luv ya all.

good old days

i don't think many people still hang out with their primary school classmates at this point of their life. after all, it's been ten years since people of my age left their primary school. but i'm happy that, starting from.. well.. i can't remember, a year ago? my primary school classmates has started to come out together often for gatherings (i vaguely remember a point when i actually see them more than i see my jc classmates. haha. how's that for a remarkable friendship?)

so yesterday all of us met up again (well actually a few of us met up last week already. see? not just primary school class gathering, this is happening in frequent intervals. haha). long long day.. it started with a ktv session at 2pm..

my friends belting out a tune together. i cannot believe the power of my SE phone... i cannot believe that with its spotlight, it can take such good pictures in the dark room. I AM IMPRESSED. FREAKING IMPRESSED.

then on our way back to the dhoby ghaut mrt station... we saw a nice pink xmas tree at cathay picturehouse..

this is like a .. ultimate legally blonde dream come true in the xmas season.

i don't understand why i was still carrying this freaking bag. it was freaking heavy anyway. it had my wallet, an umbrella, my korean textbook, my makeup kit. gees.

we headed for steamboat at marina bay.. been eons since i last went there man.

i never liked steamboat outdoors. i mean i love steamboat.. but it's so hot outside! i prefer having it at home =D

our last stop was at a pool center near maxwell. nice cosy place.. i would definitely go again.

my pool skills has improved .. i mean seriously.

i reached home at two plus in the morning last night..

i wish things stay the same forever.

christmas trees

let's compare x'mas trees. i'm not a x'mas-y person but i love looking at pretty x'mas trees! they add a lot to the festive feel~

this is part of the xmas decoration at starbucks valley point. i love how the whole place is reeking of the xmas-is-just-round-the-corner kinda smell ~~

i think it's pretty but a little too red.

this belongs in my living room (disregard the shoe boxes and the brollies please!). i love the lighting bulbs... soooo pretty.

paragon always has the best xmas trees around.
