all about mature meni think i've never watched this many movies in one day in my whole life. yesterday, i met up with yuenling and mingjie to do a keanu reeves movie marathon ever since we met up last week and were gushing about how cute he was in
the lake house. so our plan was to get his movies such as
constantine and
speed. in summary we watched six movies, including one at cathay.
1.
umizaru 2: limit of love (or otherwise
test of trust. it doesn't matter. both are apt and nice.)
2.
constantine 3. speed4. umizaru 15. while you were sleeping6. a walk in the cloudsit's amazing how keanu reeves look like he never changed in 12 years. my gawd. he's the last person on earth to need botox. seriously. and i'm glad i managed to catch
while you were sleeping because.. bill pullman is soooooooo cute and sweet and ...... lovable. why aren't there guys like that around me?!
basically
umizaru was a surprise. i was waiting for yuenling and mingjie at kbox cineleisure and was waiting in line when i saw the trailer for the movie. ahhh... i can never resist men in uniforms, esp. since i liked the lead, ito hideaki ever since i saw him in
kyumei byoto 24 as an intern. so i told them i wanna watch the movie and it turned out they were thinking of watching it too!!
eventually we went over to the new cathay to watch it.. first time watching a movie there, i think it's a great place. very chic and cool, perhaps a new spot to consider for hangouts.
back to the movie... it's great. please go and watch it. i'm glad that my recent two movies on a saturday (!) have been great. at least i didn't waste my $9.50 (that's hella ex, btw). i don't go to the movies often so whatever that managed to make me go in AND like it will be good. seriously.
umizaru is a movie full of adrenaline rush and is pretty much action-every-minute. throughout the show, i was worried sick about the fate of the protagonists and trust me, if a movie can get me crying and weeping like mad, you know it's good. and it's never i-love-you-but-you-got-cancer kinda crap that you find in korean dramas/movies that can make me sob, it's the we-are-buddies-and-i-trust-you-with-my-life kind of friendship/brotherhood things that really punches me and make me cry like crazy. i don't wanna give the show away but it's really good... i mean, it got me watching the prequel immediately after and buying the drama dvd online the next day.
and so what if i went in for ito hideaki but came out feeling soooooooo impressed and charmed by a middle-aged, decked in uniform captain? (shimokawa is the name btw) mature men looking good in uniforms are sexy. mature men looking good in uniforms and are in power to make decisions are sexier.
mature men who look good in uniforms, in power to make decisions and place absolute trust in his surbodinates despite all odds?
*faints*

so crazywell before i start updating about my life.. how's my blog skin!? haha.. although i love shinhwa to death, i've never had my layout with them before. so finally i moved my @ss and started doing one (modifying, to be exact, i know nuts about html and css and spreadsheet and whatever). well i love it. black and white, simple yet impactful.
anyways... please, even if you have no spare cash, go find some and watch
the lake house.
i was so looking forward to it ever since forever because it was going to be the sandra-keanu pairing again for the first time in 12 freaking years. the first one was
speed in 1994 by the way.. and i loved keanu reeves since. he was great in
speed, handsome-suave-cool in
constantine and now, all passionate-sensitive-steadfast-very in love in
the lake house. (i'm not commenting on
matrix trilogy because i don't understand a shiat. but the first one was good. well.. neo was indeed handsome =D). i'm going to do a keanu reeves movie marathon soon with mingjie and yuenling (provided if mingjie can find the shows) and stop saying he can't act! his crying scenes always make me feel the pain.
and i found a job. well.. it's admin but it pays well. i mean, less than some of my peers but well i guess, i will just have to make do with it.
so now i have to read up on excel. geez.
